The contaminated mosquitoes then spread the larvicide to multiple breeding sites, ensuring the elimination of larvae both within and around the station. Additionally, the fungus infects and kills adult mosquitoes before they can transmit diseases.  

• Environmentally Friendly: Utilizing green ingredients, the station offers a sustainable alternative to traditional chemical insecticides. This method minimizes the impact on non-target organisms, including beneficial insects like bees and butterflies, promoting ecological balance.  

• User-Friendly Design: Crafted from durable recycled polypropylene, the station is built to withstand various environmental conditions. Its design requires no external power source, making it easy to assemble, deploy, and maintain. Regular maintenance involves replenishing water and replacing the biocide-treated gauze every 4-6 weeks using In2Mix® refill sachets.

How It Works:

The In2Care® Mosquito Station attracts gravid (egg-laying) mosquitoes using water infused with odor lures. Upon entering the station, mosquitoes come into contact with a specially treated gauze containing a larvicide and an insect-specific fungus. As mosquitoes naturally disperse their eggs across multiple sites, they inadvertently carry the larvicide to other breeding locations, effectively contaminating and eliminating larvae beyond the immediate vicinity of the station. The fungal infection further ensures that adult mosquitoes perish before they can transmit harmful viruses.  

Deployment Recommendations:

• Placement: Install stations in shaded, vegetated areas where mosquitoes are likely to breed, such as near shrubs or under porches. Ensure the station is on a stable, level surface.  

• Density: For optimal results in high-risk areas, deploy approximately one station per 400 square meters (10 stations per acre).  

• Maintenance: Every 4-6 weeks, refresh the station by replacing the biocide-treated gauze and replenishing the water to maintain effectiveness.

The In2Care Mosquito Station effectively attracts and kills Aedes mosquitoes with novel and green ingredients that target both larvae and adults. Station activity is not limited to the Station itself, but extends to the surrounding area.

The station is made of durable recycled polypropylene (PP) components, and consists of a lid, central tube, click-on interface and reservoir. A floater moves along the central tube with the water level and serves as the landing/resting site for mosquitoes. The patented In2Care Mosquito Station provides an attractive breeding site for egg-laying Aedes mosquitoes. When a mosquito enters the station, she lands near the water on the floater gauze that binds two actives. The first is a growth regulator that kills the mosquito larvae in the Station and in surrounding breeding sites. The second active is a biological fungus that weakens the mosquito, prevents virus development, and kills the mosquito before she can transmit diseases.
